The IPSASB works to strengthen public financial management and sustainable development globally through increasing adoption and implementation of accrual International Public Sector Accounting Standards® (IPSAS®) and International Public Sector Sustainability Reporting Standards (IPSASB SRS™).
CHAIR OF THE INTERNATIONAL PUBLIC SECTOR ACCOUNTING STANDARDS BOARD (IPSASB)

This is a full-time remunerated position as an independent contractor. The initial appointment is for a three-year term starting on January 1, 2026, with the possibility of extending for a total term of up to nine years.
This global leadership role requires regular interaction with the IPSASB staff located in Toronto, Canada, and with the geographically dispersed Board members. Relocation is not required, however, candidates are expected to have a robust plan for how they will collaborate with the IPSASB staff and Board members from their home base. In addition, extensive international travel is required for this position to ensure effective collaboration with all key stakeholders and to promote the IPSASB and its work.
Candidates must have significant leadership experience operating in an international environment, including experience related to standard setting, Public Financial Management (PFM) and PFM reforms, sustainable development, and the adoption and implementation of reporting standards. English proficiency is essential for this role.
